Msida Creek

Msida Creek (Malta)

The Msida Creek Project is one of Malta’s largest recent urban infrastructure upgrades, centred around the Msida Creek area—one of the busiest traffic junctions in the country.

It involves the construction of a canal through reclaimed land, multi-level road systems, including flyovers and underpasses, to improve traffic flow while introducing enhanced pedestrian, cycling, and landscaped public spaces. The project combines complex civil and structural engineering works with urban regeneration to reduce congestion and modernise the area.

Forward Structures were engaged as the Consultants on the project due to their wide ranging expertise in the various areas required, consisting of structural steel plate design, insitu and pre-cast reinforced concrete, ground improvement and reinforced concrete piling, as well as sheet piling engineering and marine engineering.
